Sig 556Xi Russian is chambered in 7.62x39mm. Rifle was created to accept most popular AK magazines – it works with bakelite, steel and polymer mags. We have tested Sig 556Xi also with US made polymer magazines and we had no issues or malfunctions related to the magazines. 556Xi was created on extremely interesting concept. Almost all rifle components are “open” to customization and owner can easily change different modules on this rifle to incorporate different barrels lengths and etc. This completely modular design forces designers to compromise on how rigid this rifle can be in order to have these “modular” options.
