AK Adaptive Weapons System is designed to be used mainly on AK rifles, but it is offered for M4 rifles as well. This made in Odessa set is very clever in design and enables operator to quickly adopt his weapon to combat situation by changing configuration to different muzzle devices. System consists of four parts (modules): 1 – DTC Adapter, 2 – noise-canceling screen, 3 – sound suppressor (suppressor) (“suppressor-1” or “2-suppressor”) and 4 – protective cap for thread on DTC adapter. Makers of this system claim that with suppressor-1 configuration, 40% noise reduction is achieved on 7.62×39 caliber and 55% noise reduction is recorded when suppressor-2 is setup. To put this thing into perspective, this is almost the same noise rate as from .22LR rifle round. This muzzle devices set is available for following calibers and threads: 7.62×39 14-1LH, 7.62×39 24×1.5mm, 5.45×39 24×1.5mm. Please note that base module is very similar in design to PWS FSC – at this point I’m not sure if there is enough changes and improvements done to it to avoid possible patent infringement case…
